Shetler Plbg & Htg, Inc.

Shetler Plumbing & Heating, Inc. had its beginning in 1944 when Omar Shetler purchased Jalie Miller's sheet metal business located on South Main St. in Pigeon.  In 1951, Omar rebuilt the Huron County Hatchery building on Nitz St., the present location of the company.  

 

The company incorporated in 1958, at about the same time it became involved in the mechanical contracting business.  The same year, Shetler helped organize the Thumb Area Plumbing Association, which his son Lyle led as President for many years.

 

Today, Lyle's son Kent Shetler serves as President of Shetler Plbg & Htg, Inc. and is assisted by his wife Karin in running the company.  Shetler serves primarily the top of the Thumb, including Huron, Tuscola, and Sanilac Counties.  Primary dealer lines include Bryant, Goodman, Bosch, Kohler, American Standard, Delta, and Water Right water conditioners.
